What we do

at Hard Hill Farm

Some historical details about Hard Hill Farm

Click on the photo of Adrian Sartori's father, Ralph Sartori, to access the link to an article featured in 'Stock and Land' back in August 2014.

'Big flock gains at Strangways' is based on an interview with Ralph Sartori as he looks back on his many years as a Shearer and the Merino sheep at Hard Hill Farm.

The black and white images below are rare photos taken at Hard Hill Farm back in it's early days. One is of the original Homestead built on the Farm and the other photo deplicts hay bales being stacked high in preparation for transport from the Farm.

Thanks to Joan Sartori (Adrian's Mother) for supplying us with these historic images.

Hard Hill Farm's Merino Sheep

Merino Sheep have been bred and raised at Hard Hill Farm for generations.

Hard Hill Farm has it's own shearing shed and wool press and annually around 2,000 sheep are shorn.

Hard Hill Farm's Hay Production

Hay season is a busy time of year at Hard Hill Farm.  Commencing in mid October through to December each year.

Whilst normal hay production lacks much 'excitement', we found an interesting article from the ABC website which provides a series of fabulous hay bale creations made ahead of a local townships annual event held in late November 2015.
